Fashion isn’t just about garments and textile and materials, it is also about creativity, including editorial, events, evenings, communication. Technology is also starting to become a bridge between fashion and interior design, between brand and consumer. Luxury brands have started using apps to find the perfect location to impress their clients, peers and partners.
Beijing-based startup Location Hunter is the type of app that features a database of thousands of locations across 18 cities. Splacer is a Tel Aviv based start up that expanded to New York in 2015. Another Beijing- based newcomer Elsewhere offers beautifully decorated spaces. This trend appeared due to the growing popularity of interior design trends. Even hotels now strive to become creative spaces to visit again. If you are a new brand that wants to stand out, being present in an unusual location offers a mix of diversity and style.
Founder of Location Hunter Moya Li’s motivation to launch the app was the desire to reach the aesthetics: “The avenues that did exist for finding these spaces didn’t really focus on the design or select good locations—they only had basic information which wasn’t very helpful, and they were a bit old-fashioned in how they presented this information”.
